Wordle - Word fun website
I found a website that allows students to enter keywords around a subject or topic. The "Wordle" website then lets the kids create fancy word clouds. Students can then tweak them with a range of nifty editing tools. Here is one I made quickly:
Just discovered wordle. It is great. Have you used it with kids to point out their too frequently used words in stories? Just paste the content of their story, make sure the Language option does not remove common words. I just did the last chapter of my doctorate the biggest words were "the, and, of, to, in" then finally 'teachers'. Interesting discussion.
